If your Shih Tzu has diabetes, you probably already know how much of a struggle it is to find food and treats. Not only are they difficult to find, but they're also really expensive when you do find them! Feed your pet a delicious treat that's completely safe for them to eat while saving a little bit of money with this recipe for diabetic-friendly dog treats. Even if your Shih Tzu doesn't have diabetes, this recipe is sure to be a hit. You will need just three ingredients for these treats: one-half cup of whole wheat flour, two eggs and 1.5 pounds of beef liver that has been cut into small pieces. To start, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Put the liver in a food processor and process it until its chopped. Add the flour and eggs, and continue to process until the mixture is smooth. Spread the mixture evenly in a 10x15-inch pan lined with parchment paper. Cook for 15 minutes, then allow to cool. Once cool, slice into small pieces and place in an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator.
