4. Let your dog learn how to give signals – When you first start training, your dog won’t be able to automatically give you a signal or “let you know” if they want to go outside. So part of training your pet should include teaching a signal that can be used when the need to go to the bathroom arises. For example, sitting by the door or barking before moving toward the door are signals that can be taught to your pet.
