With their own unique personalities, dogs can act pretty odd. But you haven't seen anything until you observe a puppy for a day or two. Puppies are known for showing their personalities and engaging in weird behaviors - no matter who's watching!

1) Out-of-water paddling

A dog does not hesitate to paddle his or her legs to swim upon entering water. It’s an inbred nature that allows dogs to save themselves in case they fall into water. You will discover that your dog will instantly stop paddling once you let him or her out of the water. However, this may not always be the case with puppies. Whether they just like paddling or they're convinced they're still in water, some puppies will continue paddling after they're back on dry land.

2) Overeating

When it comes to food, there is usually no limit to how much puppies can eat. As long as there is food, these pups will keep eating until they can no longer consume any more. Maybe this is why puppies grow so quickly!

3) Sleeping through the day and night

Anyone who has a puppy will certainly agree that puppies are great sleepers. Whether it's late or night or in the middle of the day, puppies love to get their rest. Sometimes, you may even see a puppy lay down to sleep while walking, playing, or engaged in some other activity.

4) Born to be wild

Puppies not only sleep hard - they play hard, too! Your puppy could fall into a deep sleep and just minutes later, be tearing around the house, ready for more playing and rough housing.

5) Always gnawing

Unlike adult dogs, chewing is not a big problem for puppies and does not require any medical attention. When puppies are teething, they chew on almost everything they come across. However, this does not mean that you should let them have their way. Instead, invest in puppy teething toys and put them in a confined place to play with them, especially when you are away.

6) Explorers without borders

Puppies love to explore. You may see your puppy tangling himself up in a blanket and just a few seconds later, he's moved on to tearing up a toy or even your clothing! While this behavior may be frustrating or even funny, it's important to begin training as soon as possible to eliminate these bad behaviors.
