2. Grooming Has To Be Proactive
Shih Tzu puppies have fast-growing hair so you have to get them a haircut at least once every six to eight weeks. Combing or brushing the hair on a regular basis is a must. It's also important to keep the hair around the eyes trimmed to prevent infections, and to use only dog-safe shampoo and products to protect the skin and coat. Shih Tzus have a lot of hair, so you can even experiment with different fun hairstyles such as ponytails or braids, provided you don't make your puppy uncomfortable.
3. Allow Them To Socialize
Shih Tzu puppies like to be around people and other dogs. They need to socialize in order to really let their personalities shine. Keeping your dog away from people and other animals will result in a shy, withdrawn, and nervous animal.
