6 Tips to Keep Your Dog Healthy in Hot Weather

4) Take your dog out for a swim. Dogs are good swimmers, and if you love the activity, then it can be the best thing to do during summers. Dogs can easily cool off when they take a dip, but don’t exhaust your dog with excessive swimming. You can even purchase a life vest made just for dogs for use in your pool or lake.

5) Don’t keep your dog in the car unattended. You should NEVER leave a dog in a car by himself. Not only do you risk having your beloved pet stolen, but in extreme weather conditions, the end results could be deadly. Bring your dog along only when you aren't getting out of the car or you can bring your pet with you. Otherwise, leave your dog at home in a room that is heated or cooled to a comfortable temperature.

6) You should consult a vet to know if your dog needs sunscreen. There are some breeds that need sunscreen for certain sensitive parts of their body.
