Hot summer day keeping you indoors? Why not bring your pooch with you to the pool? If you own a swimming pool or know a friend or family member that’s okay with allowing your dog to swim, beat the summer heat, have fun, and get exercise all at once in a pool. Most dogs are great swimmers but can easily get tired. You can invest in a life vest made specifically for your dog. These can be purchased online or at most pet stores. Make sure you purchase the proper size and put it on your pet properly. Also make sure that you don’t get so caught up in swimming that you don’t monitor your Shih Tzu. You always want to keep an eye on your pup, and make sure to get him or her out of the school if they are too cold, seem overheated, or are too tired.
